National Taiwan Normal University Department of History Regulations on Tie-Breaking Criteria for the Academic Excellence Award (Book Roll Award)

Beginning in the second semester of the 2024 academic year, if two or more students tie for the same rank for the Academic Excellence Award and the number of tied candidates exceeds the available award quota, the priority order for determining recipients shall be based on the following criteria:
(1) Grade Point Average (GPA) of required courses taken in the Department of History during that semester.
(2) Total credits of required and elective courses taken in the Department of History during that semester.
(3) Total EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) credits taken during that semester.
(4) Total credits earned during that semester.
(5) Status in interdisciplinary programs, with priority given in the following order: Double Major, Minor, and Interdisciplinary Certificate Program.
If a winner still cannot be determined after evaluating all the above criteria, the monetary prize shall be distributed equally among the tied candidates.
