Important Guidelines & Rules:

This oral defense will be conducted via Google Meet.

(1) How to Join the Meeting:

  1. Log in to your Google account using Google Chrome and click the meeting link above.
  2. Department students wishing to observe the defense are recommended to log in using their NTNU G Suite account (@gapps.ntnu.edu.tw) for identity verification.

    • NTNU Accounts (@gapps.ntnu.edu.tw): Display name will show “NTNU [Name]” and can enter the meeting directly.
    • Personal Google Accounts: Please modify your display name (e.g., “History Dept. [Name]”) and click “Ask to join.” Please keep your microphone muted upon entry to avoid audio interference.
(2) Attendance & Check-in:

  • Please log in early to facilitate attendance confirmation and click the check-in link to sign in. The teaching assistant will take attendance online at unannounced intervals.
(3) Evaluation Period & Result Announcement:

  • When committee members discuss the student’s evaluation and grades, please wait patiently until they return to the meeting room to announce the result. The teaching assistant may take roll call again at this time.
  • If a student is absent during both roll calls, it will be considered non-attendance, and the session will not count toward the oral defense observation requirement for graduation.
