A. Position and Vacancies: Two full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.

B. Qualifications:
1. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree with academic specialization in one of the following fields:
 World History: Priority will be given to candidates specializing in Ancient Western History, Southeast Asian History, German History, or History of the Americas.
 Chinese History: Priority will be given to candidates specializing in Ancient Chinese History.
2. Candidates with interdisciplinary research or teaching experience in areas such as Digital Humanities and AI applications—who are capable of contributing to the department’s “AI and Historical Research” professional program or “AI and Metaverse Narrative Credit Program”—will be given priority.
3. Candidates with English Medium Instruction (EMI) capabilities will be given priority. The appointee will be required to offer English-taught courses in alignment with the department’s EMI curriculum planning.
4. Applicants (except for “First-time Teachers”) must meet at least one of the following criteria:
 Published a formal academic monograph within the last 3 years, accompanied by peer-review reports and official proof of publication approval.
 Published at least two academic journal papers indexed in SCI, SSCI, TSSCI, EI, A&HCI, THCI (new system implemented in 2016, formerly THCI Core), or SCOPUS within the last 3 years as the first author or corresponding author.
 Served as the Principal Investigator (PI) for at least two National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) research projects within the last 3 years.
 Demonstrated outstanding professional practical performance, supported by relevant documentation. (Note: Journal papers and NSTC research projects listed above may be substituted for one another.)
5. If the highest degree is from NTNU, the applicant must have at least two years of work experience in research, a specialized profession, or a position closely related to the subject they will teach. (New teachers are defined as those who have obtained a Ph.D. within two years prior to the external announcement of this position (excluding male military service time) and who do not have prior full-time teaching experience at a college level or higher.)

C. Required Documents:
1. Personal curriculum vitae, academic experience form, and a copy of the Ph.D. diploma.
2. Representative publication (clearly marked) and relevant publications within the past 3 years, accompanied by Chinese abstracts. (“First-time Teachers” may submit their doctoral dissertation as the representative publication.) (Please download and fill out the “Faculty Applicant Background Form” for items 1 and 2 from the department website.)
3. Full list of publications and doctoral transcript.
4. Syllabi for proposed courses. (Must include at least one EMI course and elaborate on concepts for interdisciplinary or AI-related courses.)
