Title Analysis of the Han Pass in Chu Country

Abstract   According to the history records, Warring States Han Pass was located in Zhao and Chu countries, but the Zhao Han Pass wasn’t its real name. According to the time and the different targets it defended, the Chu Han Pass was constructed in two country. Firstly, constructed to resist the Shu country in Chu Suwang four years (377B.C.) was called Resist Shu Han Pass (Yangtze River north shore in Fengjie east of Sichuan). Later, constructed to resist Qin country in another place in Chu Huaiwang eighteen years (311B.C.) was called Resist Qin Han Pass (Qingjiangnorth shore in Changyang west of Hubei Province). However, there is an argument that if the two pass above all are in the same place. Hoping to start first step about the research of pass in south area, this article mainly discuss about three themes. Firstly, clarify the position of Han Pass. Secondly, explain the name and history of Resisting Shu Han Pass. Finally, make the transportation surrounding the Han Pass reappear.
